ACC’s Continuing Education & Workforce Development offers pre-licensing courses so you can earn a Real Estate Salesperson license.
o Evening courses are offered at the Alvin campus, Monday through Thursday for two weeks from 6:00 – 9:45 pm.
o Weekend courses are offered at the Pearland campus, Friday through Sunday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm.

Choose 1 additional Core Course (30 hours) and 2 additional Core or Related Courses (60 hours).

RELE1016 – Real Estate Property Management (Core)
RELE1020 – Texas Essentials of Mortgage Practice (Related)
Textbooks are available at the College Store on the Alvin Campus and are to be purchased by the student prior to each course. For College Store hours call 281.756.3681.
To be eligible to apply for a Real Estate Salesperson License, without prior education, an individual must furnish the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), satisfactory evidence of successfully completing 210 hours (7 courses) of education.
Students with previous education may be exempt from one or more of the required courses. Students must send copies of certificates or transcripts to the TREC along with the Evaluation of Education Document provided on the TREC website. (www.trec.state.tx.us/licenses/salesapp.asp) You must receive written approval from TREC before exemption is granted. You may take the 4 mandatory courses while waiting for credit approval from TREC.

An application for Moral Character Determination is required if you have a history of one or more of the following. This application is provided on the TREC website. (www.trec.state.tx.us) You must also receive written approval from TREC before registering for any pre-licensing course or applying for a license.
• Unpaid judgments
• Pending civil suits or criminal charges
• Convictions or criminal offense (including all felonies and misdemeanors other than traffic tickets).
• Professional or occupational license in any state placed on probation, suspended, cancelled, denied, revoked or ever surrendered such a license.
Once the application and fee for the Texas Real Estate Salesperson license has been processed and approved, TREC will send you a Candidate Information Brochure to register for the state exam. The exam registration fee is payable to Psychological Services, Inc. (PSI), which has three locations in Houston.
Note: TREC will assign an ID number for you to schedule and take the state exam.
