Classes for Seniors

You are never too old to join the digital age. In classes specifically designed for people over 50, computers are de-mystified and these new users will learn the basics. We offer Intro to Computers for Seniors and Intro to the Internet for Seniors. >>See senior classes here<<

Computer Business Fundamentals
This course is designed to provide the student with essential core skills in computers to enter the job market. Key concepts discussed are basic computer operations, word processing, spreadsheets, telecommunications, databases and time management. Interviewing and resume writing are also covered. The student will be issued a certificate upon completion

Introduction to Computers
Anyone who is new to computers should start with this course. In this course, you will learn computer terminology, computer hardware and software, and operating systems. You will learn about files and folders, working with Windows, and the Internet. You will also learn about computer networks. Everything in this 'hands-on' course is explained in a way that everyone can understand. Students will receive training materials first day of class.
Tuition:  $220 In-District    $240 Out-of-District    $97 Other Fees

Introduction to Computers for Seniors 

Anyone who is new to computers should start with this course. In this course, you will learn computer terminology, computer hardware and software, and operating systems. You will learn about files and folders, working with Windows, and the Internet. You will also learn about computer networks. Everything in this ‘hands-on’ course is explained in a way that everyone can understand. Students will receive training materials first day of class.
Tuition:  $220 In-District    $240 Out-of-District    $97 Other Fees

Microsoft ACCESS 2013 In One Day

This course teaches the basic functions and features of MS Access 2013. Students will learn how to plan and create a database; work with tables; create queries and forms; filter records; and generate reports. Students will receive training materials in class.
Tuition:    $164 In-District    $194 Out-of-District    $93 Other Fees

Microsoft Excel 2013 - Intermediate

This course is a continuation of Microsoft Excel 2013.  The student will learn advanced filing tasks, IF function and array formulas, management of tables in Excel, and advanced formatting techniques.  In the process, the student will also learn how Excel works with other programs in MS Office.  This is an intermediate course; the student is expected to already understand the basic operation of MS Excel.  Students will receive training materials in class.

Microsoft Excel 2013 - Advanced

This course will cover advanced topics; getting the most from your data, Excel and the internet, and Advanced Excel tasks.  Specifics include but are not limited to: setting Excel options, pivot tables, scenarios, what-if analysis, hyperlinks, VLOOKUP functions and linking, consolidating and combining worksheets.  This course is for advanced users.  A working knowledge of spreadsheets in general and Excel basic features in particular is necessary.  Prerequisites: MS Excel 2013, Intermediate MS Excel 2013.
