Learn the Skills Needed to Get a Job and Launch a Career as a Machinist

From manual milling and turning, to CNC skills students will gain hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art machine shop and CNC simulator labs. Students will be trained with the necessary skills to enter the workforce.

Small class sizes ensure the best possible learning environment for metalworking students. The curriculum combines classroom instruction and hands-on skills development focusing mainly on CNC operation and setup.

Introduction to CNC, One-Day Workshop

In this class, you will learn:

  •   10 basic G and M Codes
  •   How to set a Z zero on the Lathe
  •   How to cut chess pieces on the Lathe

Attendees will take home a chess piece as a souvenir.

CNC Machinist Immersion Classes

This program simulates a real shop environment for students ages 18 and older to learn all aspects of the CNC Machining field. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are offered and can be taken in as little as 2 months.

Introduction to CAM Classes

We have the latest version of Master-cam X8

This course includes an in depth breakdown of the common G and M codes that are used to control CNC machines and a study of the proper use of them. This course also provides an introduction to Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) and Computer-Aided Machining (CAM) software which is used to develop programs for manufacturing. Emphasis on drawing part geometry, creating a tool library, and generating a part program.
