Jeanine Wilburn, Department Chair and Lab School Director
Jeanine Wilburn is new to Alvin Community College, but comes with 8 years experience in Texas community colleges, and 15 years experience in Early Childhood Education. She earned her B.S. in Early Childhood/Child Development at Eastern New Mexico University and her M.Ed. at the University of Texas at Tyler.
Ms. Wilburn’s courses are designed to help the student develop skills that will assist them in becoming an effective teacher of young children. She uses real-life examples and projects designed to facilitate the student’s growth toward becoming a professional. Ms. Wilburn is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
