ENGL 1301 English Composition
This course focuses on critical reading, critical thinking, rhetorical analysis, and composition skills. Students will focus on written and visual texts as subject matter for task-driven compositions, aimed at improving students' ability to analyze others' arguments and to compose and defend their own arguments. Some topics will be current events or controversial issues while others will be literary. Reading material will include nonfiction and fiction. Emphasis will be on clear, effective communication directed to the tasks assigned.
