1. How do I create a table of values with my calculator?
One of the great strengths of the TI-80/82/83 calculator is its ability to create a table of values. To do so, press Y= to open the graph editor, and then press CLEAR to erase any previous expression assigned to Y1. Now enter an expression such as x2. To generate a table of values for x2, first press TblSet ( 2nd --> WINDOW ). Clear the current value for TBLMIN and set it to a convenient starting point such as -3. Now set the increment ( TBL ) to either 1 or some other desired value. Press TABLE ( 2nd --> GRAPH ), and you will see the corresponding table. You can use the arrow keys to easily scroll forward or backward in the table.
Notice how we can modify our table by changing the increment from 1 to 0.1.
