For over fifty years, the ACC Music Department has been actively involved in preparing music majors for transfer to four-year institutions, enabling non-music majors to enrich their lives through private study and performance, as well as providing musical experiences for the ACC community and Brazoria County. Students have the opportunity to perform in major ensembles as well as study privately on their particular instrument with a full-time music professional. Our music majors successfully transfer to major universities across the state of Texas and former ACC music majors currently teach and perform throughout the United States .
The department is housed on the beautiful ACC campus in the Fine Arts Building. Facilities include a 370-seat theatre, choral and band rehearsal halls, practice rooms, a computer lab, and studio and office space for the teaching faculty.
