TSI Assessment (Texas Success Initiative) is the only state-approved test to assess reading, writing, and math skills for college level placement. The fee for the entire exam is $39, or $15 per section for partial testing. Click here for more information.
The HESI A2 Exam is an admission requirement for several of ACC’s allied health programs. The HESI A2 Exam consists of seven academic exams and a personality profile that identifies the applicant’s learning style. Click here to register for the HESI. The cost of the exam is $74. The General Educational Development (GED®) Test: The new 2014 GED® test is a four-subject high school equivalency test that measures skills required by high schools and requested by colleges and employers. The four subjects are science, social studies, mathematical reasoning, and reasoning through language arts. For information, practice testing and registration, visit www.ged.com. CLEP Testing: College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams test mastery of college-level material. Students can receive college credit for subjects in which they already have proficiency. For information and registration, visit https://clepportal.collegeboard.org. Testers should contact the Testing Center directly at 281.756.3526 to schedule an appointment. A proctoring fee of $20 must be paid prior to testing.
Correspondence Testing: The Testing Center offers proctoring services for students attending other institutions. There is a $35 proctoring fee per exam, which must be paid prior to testing. Testers should contact the Testing Center directly at 281.756.3526 to schedule an appointment.
National League for Nursing (NLN) Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology exams are available for nursing students who have not taken these classes within the mandatory 5 year time period. There is a $30 proctoring fee associated with each exam which must be paid prior to testing. Testers should contact the Testing Center directly at 281.756.3526 to schedule an appointment.
Instructor Initiated Testing (out-of-class, online and make-up exams): Upon instructor request, students may use the Testing Center as a site for make-up exams, distance learning exams or for individualized testing.
Students with disabilities requiring additional test time or specialized testing may test in the Testing Center. For this accommodation, students should go through the Office of Disability Services (281-756-5701 or 281-756-3533).
