Learning for fun includes classes, trips and tours, outdoor adventures, and events that enrich the lives of all ages, including youth and mature adults. Program coordinators collaborate with area businesses and instructors to give you interesting and timely programs.

Busy Bodies Kids' College provides youth enrichment classes for children entering kindergarten thru the sixth grade. Activities are fun, educational and age appropriate. Kids choose activities each hour, so they are never bored. They will experience memories that will last a lifetime. Kids' College is offered in June and July in Alvin, Pearland, and Shadow Creek Ranch.
Youth Volleyball is available to children in third thru sixth grade. Students learn sportsmanship, how to play as a team, and basic skills such as passing, setting and serving.
ACCESS provides information, education and social interaction to anyone 50 years of age or older. Seniors are encouraged to attend classes, trips, lunches, and free monthly programs. Exercising minds and bodies makes healthier and happier people so come join the fun! Life Story Writing, Great Decisions, World's Greatest Religions, Genealogy, Computer courses, 50+ Aerobics, and Dance for Fun are a few of the available classes.
Interior Design classes are fun and will teach you creative techniques to showcase your home. Enjoy classes like principles of interior design, ideas from model homes, and decorating your home for the holidays.
Gardening classes include garbage can composting, ivy topiary, and gardens under glass. These classes will help those who may not have a "green thumb."
Alvin Community College offers a variety of cooking classes. From basic cooking to Kids Chefs to 50+, each class will help you to prepare delicious dishes that you can share with your family. Come experience the art of cooking and discover the fun of making each recipe.
The Wine Appreciation Class is designed to help both beginners and advanced students learn more about wine. You will discover the history of wines, the grape varieties used, and other interesting facts about wine. The classes include wine tasting and a complimentary dinner generously provided by Johnny Carino's restaurant.
Are you a Coffee lover? Join us for a coffee cupping class. Cupping is the technique used by cuppers to evaluate the flavor profile of a coffee. To understand the minor differences between coffee growing regions, it is important to cup coffees from around the world side by side. Cupping is also used to evaluate a coffee for defects or to create coffee blends.
In this class you will experience four different types of coffee such as Columbian, Guatamalian, Etheopian and Hawaiian. A professional roaster will facilitate the class and answer all your questions!
