The employment process should begin with the completion
of all employment forms by the new employee. You will already have completed
a College Employment Application Form and submitted requested documentation
such as resume, reference letters and official transcripts (required for
administrative/professional and faculty employees) prior to your recommendation
and approval for a specific position.
The following documents are required for all new employees. Forms are available
on-line, on the local network, and in the Human Resources office. In order
to complete the employment process, the forms listed must be completed and
returned to the Human Resources Office within 7 working days.

In addition, benefits related forms that must be completed by eligible staff
include, but are not limited to, the following:

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
require that Alvin Community College have official copies of transcripts.
Transcripts must support SACS criteria for instructor in each specified teaching
discipline. Instructors
in Technical Programs should check with the Department Chair to verify if transcripts
are required for the specific program; copies of certifications should be provided;
written departmental justifications and verification letters from current full
time employers summarizing related experience/expertise are necessary. This
requirement applies to Administrative/Professional and Faculty. Transcripts
must be delivered in a sealed envelope, directly from the institution awarding
the degree. Documents stamped “Issued to Student” are not acceptable.
