Kevin M. Moody received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Pomona College. He completed his Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance at Rice University 's Shepherd School of Music where he studied voice with Virginia Babikian and coached with Tom Jaber. He has since studied with Stephen Smith and Dr. Joyce Farwell.
Mr. Moody has managed an active performing schedule which has included seven seasons as a member of the Houston Grand Opera chorus with which he toured to New York City 's Lincoln Center and Scotland for the Edinburgh Festival. He has been a member of Opera to Go! , sung with Theater Under The Stars , and has toured straight theater with Acts of Renewal .
He can be regularly heard as a soloist and guest conductor in the greater Houston area. Having been the voice instructor at ACC since 1992, Mr. Moody became the chairman of the music department in 1998 where his duties include teaching private voice lessons, directing the choirs, and being the musical director for the Drama Department's annual musical. He is currently working on a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston .
