ACC Students Warned of Drunk Driving Dangers

ACC Students Warned of Drunk Driving Dangers

The Alvin Community College Student Activities department warned students about the effects of alcohol and the danger of driving drunk during an awareness event on October 24.

The 5th Annual Dolphin Wing Fling provided students with food and activities that included a drunk driving simulator and information from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Affinity Immediate Care and the Stephen F. Austin Community Health Network.

Students drove a simulator, which is part of the UNITE Arrive Alive Tour, that demonstrated how intoxication can limit a person’s ability to drive on the highway. It also simulated the effects of texting while driving.
