GED Test Schedule
  1. Pre-registration in the Enrollment Services Center is required. The fee is $80.
  2. GED Testing Forms for 17 year olds only.
  3. GED Transcript Request (Texas Only)

Day Schedule
Tuesday is testing day. The day schedule requires two (2) days of testing.

8:15 AM
Arrival time for examinees to complete the required one-time demographics documentation.

Week 1 Schedule

8:30 AM
Demographics completed (one time only)

9:40 AM
Science (Test 5)   50 questions - 80 minutes

11:20 AM
Social Studies (Test 6)   50 questions - 70 min.

12:40-1:30 PM   Lunch Break

1:30 PM
Language Arts, Reading (Test 2)   40 questions - 65 minutes

Week 2 Schedule

8:15 AM
Arrival time for examinees who need to complete the one-time demographics.

8:30 AM
Demographics completed (if not already done)

9:40 AM
Mathematics (Test 3 & 4)   90 minutes - Total

Part I - 25 Items - 45 minutes
Casio fx-260 Calculator Used

Part II - 25 Items - 45 minutes
No Calculator Used

11:55-1:00 p.m.   Lunch Break

1:00 p.m.
Language Arts, Writing (Test 1)   2 hours - Total
Part I - 50 questions - 75 minutes
Part II - 200 Word Essay - 45 minutes

Evening Schedule

Tuesday is testing day. The evening schedule requires five (5) evenings of testing.

5:00 p.m.
Arrival time for examinees to complete the required one-time demographics documentation.

5:50 p.m.
Arrival time for testing.

6:00 p.m.
Test begins.

These schedules are subject to change or may be temporarily suspended during registration and holidays. Please call the GED Testing Center at 281.756.3531 or 281.756.3526 to verify times.

Retesting
The test may be taken a maximum of 3 times in a year whether testing done at ACC or at any other test center. Registration for retesting must be done in advance. The retesting fee is $15 per retest.
