Alvin Community College Information Technology Services works diligently to provide a secure, pleasing, and efficient student experience with campus technology. Recent improvements include:

  • Introduction of The POD which allows students a single platform to access their courses, schedules, important college information, and registration activities.
  • Providing students the ability to plot their course pathway through completion of certificate or degree with Student Planning
  • Offering every ACC degree or certificate seeking student with an ACC student email address and NO COST access to Office 365
  • Creating an ACCess ID (one network ID and password) that works seamlessly with The POD, on campus computers, Blackboard, Office 365, ACC WiFi, and WebACCess.

Office 365Office 365

Access your student email, a terabyte of storage with OneDrive, and the full suite of Microsoft Office. ACC provides certificate and degree seeking students with an ACC email address, which opens the door to Office 365. Learn more HERE! or on The POD.



Blackboard LearnBlackboard Learning Management System

Blackboard is a virtual learning environment and course management system that is used for online, hybrid, and web-assisted courses at ACC. Learn more here.


 
TutorMeTutorMe

Online tutoring is available 24/7 through TutorMe. As a student, you will be able to get tutoring help in a multitude of subjects while being able to both hear and see your tutor. A record of your session is kept in your account for your review and study at any time. Current students can access TutorMe through their Blackboard account.



Campus WiFiACC Student WiFi

Students may use this network to access the Internet on their mobile devices and personal equipment for a better Internet experience. Authentication using the ACCess ID is required, and students are held to the Technology User and Standards Agreement - Student.


 

Computer IconComputer Labs

ACC offers students open access to computers in the CyberLab (A173), the Library (A204), and the Learning Lab (A204b). Instruction-focused labs are found throughout the campus.
