Celebrate the end of the year in style for the first Blue’s Night Out dinner and comedy show! Enjoy dinner from the Olive Garden, and a comedy performance by the Found Footage Festival.

The Found Footage Festival is a live comedy show featuring the funniest, weirdest and most outrageous video clips ever dug up on VHS. Hosts Joe and Nick scour thrift stores and garage sales around the country and serve up highlights, complete with live commentary and where-are-they-now updates on these video relics. None of these videos can be found on YouTube so buckle up as FFF resurrects these gems in a hilarious hour of VHS insanity.

Gotta Dash!

The Third Annual ACC Dolphin Dash will be held at the Alvin Community College campus on Saturday, May 9 (changed from March 7). The registration fee to participate is $15 per person (includes T-shirt and refreshments). The price will increase to $20 on the day of the race. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Student Government Association. The race starts at 9 a.m. with check-in and registration beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Dolphins Lead is a year-long program where you will learn valuable leadership and professional skills that will help you as you advance in your education and begin a career.

Who can join Dolphins Lead?

The program is open to all credit students at ACC. To apply, click here.

When does Dolphins Lead meet?

Dolphins Lead meets twice a month on Tuesdays. Meetings start at 12:30 p.m.

Each meeting will focus on an important leadership or professional skill. Each month you will have the chance to meet with business leaders in the community to see how you can use these skills in real life. Free lunch is always provided.

What will I learn in Dolphins Lead?

Each month you will learn about a new aspect of professionalism and leadership. Topics include networking, professional communication, dressing for success, working with teams, goal setting, budgeting and more.

Why participate in Dolphins Lead?

This a great chance for you to gain valuable leadership and professional skills while making new friends and building your resume. Student who participate are leaders on campus and will get the tools needed to stand out in job interviews and when applying to prestigious four-year universities.

At the end of the year you will be honored as a Dolphins Lead graduate at a special luncheon for your family, recognized at ACC Awards Day and receive a letter of recommendation from a dean of the president of Alvin Community College.

In addition you will have a chance to network with local business leaders and make new connections with your fellow students, faculty, staff and the community.

Student Center

The Student Center, located in the round building in the center of the ACC campus, is the hub of student activities and events. The Center is home to:
  • ATM Machine
  • Mr. C’s Bistro and Deli
  • College Store
  • Study Grounds Coffee Bar
  • Student Activities Office
  • Student Government Association Office
  • The Texas Room
  • Cell Phone Charging Stations

The Student Center is a great place to relax between classes and have fun at weekly special events hosted by Student Activities and the Student Government Association. Stop by to:

  • Play ping pong or air hockey
  • Watch TV on a 64 inch HD television in the Texas Room
  • Play Wii or bring your own gaming system
  • Take advantage of free Wi-Fi internet
