Fundamental Concepts of Oriental Medicine
Explore the Fundamental Concepts of Oriental Medicine
Health practitioners, massage therapists and alternative medicine specialists have relied on the principles of Oriental philosophy for thousands of years to help treat many diseases and illnesses. In the new Alvin Community College Continuing Education Workforce Development Oriental Medicine Program, you can learn the fundamentals of this ancient science to further or start a new career in alternative medicine.
To help restore balance and the flow of energy throughout the body, Asian Bodyworks utilizes gentle hand and finger pressure along the body’s energy channels. With an emphasis on the five phases, the Taoist belief that ties humans to nature, the Fundamental Concepts of Oriental Medicine courses gives you an introduction to Asian Bodyworks, Oriental theory and energy meridians.
