ACCESS

Exercise your mind and body in the regular programs, trips and classes offered to senior citizens age 50+ through ACC Continuing Education.  Alvin Community College offers monthly programs for Senior Services (ACCESS) to include outings, lunches and special classes for members. Many of the ACCESS programs are free or are offered at a reduced cost.

Genealogy
Students will learn the basic concept of searching your family tree. This two night, six hour, introductory class will help you get started in techniques and sources for the compilation and preparation of family trees.

Introduction to Internet for Seniors
This course introduces the Internet, World Wide Web (www), and how to perform basic research to address personal or company/business needs. Topics include accessing and navigating the Internet, covering concepts, terms, tools, and services such as Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Learn to browse and search the Internet successfully using popular browsers and search tools. Requires knowledge of the Windows XP environment.
