Program Description
The choice to become a teacher is a decision to make a significant impact on the future. Teaching is the essential profession - the one that makes all other professions possible.
The Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) provides a set of courses within the Teacher Certification areas which will transfer to any public university in the state of Texas that offers education degrees. We offer a variety of courses and degrees to meet the diverse goals of education majors.
Career Opportunities
Employment for teacher is found in preschools, kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools, secondary schools and special education. Excellent job opportunities for teachers are expected, especially among secondary school teachers; opportunities will vary by geographic area and subject taught.
