Alvin Community College and 14 other Texas higher
education institutes comprise the Gulf Coast Addiction
Technology Transfer Center (GATTC). This
consortium of colleges in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico comprize the
Gulf Coast ATTC. They offer education, training and technology
transfer in chemical dependence and work to increase
the number of underrepresented licensed chemical dependency counselors. The
Alvin Community College Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ACC-ATTC)
is a founding member of the Gulf Coast Addiction Technology Transfer Center and
is supported, in part, by the U.S. Department of Health Services through
its Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
(SAMSHA) Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT).
