The program has two pathways for students to earn their ADN degree:
- ADN Generic . The traditional pathway to enter the ADN program. ADN coursework, excluding pre-requisites, is designed for completion within 2 years. A new class of 60 students starts each August. The application period is from January through March. Applicants meeting minimum admission requirements become part of an applicant pool and top applicants from this pool are selected for admission.
- LVN-ADN Transition . The Transition program provides an abbreviated pathway to allow nurses who are LVN’s to earn their ADN. A new nursing class of 10-20 students starts in mid-May. The application period is from January to the first week in March. Applicants meeting minimum admission requirements become part of an applicant pool and top applicants from this pool are selected for admission.

Employment of registered nurses is expected to grow
faster than the average for all occupations through
2012. Thousands of job openings also will result from
the need to replace experienced nurses who leave the
occupation, especially as the age of the registered
nurse population continues to rise. According to the
Occupational Outlook Handbook, median annual earnings
of registered nurses were $48,090 in 2002. The middle
50 percent earned between $40,140 and $57,490.
Approximate cost for the program is $5,000* for Generic
and $4,000* for Transition. This includes uniforms,
tuition, fees, books, supplies, graduation costs, and
the National Council Licensure Exam. Financial assistance
available to those who qualify.
*Tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.
