International Students

International Students College Overview
Alvin Community College is a public, two-year, community college. We are located between Houston (home of NASA and the Johnson Space Center) and the Gulf Coast city of Galveston. The college enrolls approximately 5,000 students. On average, 20 of these students are citizens of other countries and hold non-immigrant visas.

The college offers academic and vocational courses that lead to a variety of associate and bachelor degrees. All programs of study are approximately two years in length. We are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Several of the vocational divisions have achieved accreditation with specialized accrediting agencies. The college seeks to admit well-qualified international students who, because of their academic preparation, will benefit from the college community.
