The Career Planning & Job Placement Center provides services for students, alumni, businesses, and community members. We invite you to partner with us to explore career options, post job openings, practice interviewing techniques, and much more.

Job Postings

Alvin Community College will advertise your organization’s job openings for full-time, part-time, internship, and co-op positions. We post all job announcements on our website and on display boards on the Alvin and Pearland campuses. In addition, we email a weekly job bulletin to all students registered with the Job Placement Program. All services are provided at no charge to employers and applicants.

To advertise a position, please follow these steps:

1. Complete the Job Placement Form (pdf). Please complete a separate form for each job listing. Email jobpost@alvincollege.edu, fax or mail the form to us.
2. Notify us once the position(s) has been filled. Please let us know if the position was filled by an Alvin Community College applicant.

Career Planning Program

It’s not uncommon for adults to change careers four times during their life. That’s where our Career Center can help. We work with adults who have been displaced from their current jobs or that are bored with their current occupation and need a new career. We also work with students graduating high school and everyone in between who wants to find the right career choice.

Alvin Community College offers a comprehensive Career Planning Program. The program helps define and explore career options that are compatible with your personal goals, abilities and interests. The program consists of two 2-hour sessions or a half-day workshop. Counselors will provide feedback throughout the program and offer an individual counseling session at the end of the program.

Our goal is to help you find a satisfying and rewarding career.
