The three month Computer Technician online training program prepares students for entry-level jobs in information technology and CompTIA A+ certification.
The program teaches computer basics, system hardware and software, troubleshooting,
security techniques, networking, and operational procedures. Students have access
to unlimited student support, and, upon graduation, will receive CompTIA A+ exam vouchers.
What Do Computer Technicians Do?
There is a growing demand for well-trained computer technician as technology plays an increasingly important role in almost every aspect of society. Specific responsibilities vary from position to position, but often include:
• Installing hardware and software systems
• Maintaining or repairing equipment
• Troubleshooting a variety of computer issues
• Setting up computer security measures
• Configuring computer networks
• Offering technical support on-site or via phone or email
• And much more
Where Do Computer Technicians Work?
Computer technicians can be found working in a variety of industries. Possible positions range from a computer technician in a retail electronics store who helps repair hardware and software, to a technical support advisor who helps people over the phone with their computer issues, to a member of an internal IT team within large and medium sized companies.
