What You Need To Apply

Attend an Information Session

If you are interested in the Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography Program (DCVS) you should attend an information sessions to make certain you have the most current program information and application. If you are out of state, you can contact us via email or phone for more detailed instructions.

The next information session will be held at the following dates, times and locations:    

Wednesday, October 23, 2019
Health Science Building

Admission Requirements – A.A.S. Degree

Admission requirements for this option include these pre-requisite courses:

  • English I
  • Anatomy and Physiology I
  • Anatomy and Physiology II (within the past 5 years or take DSAE 2303 early to renew knowledge)
  • College or Applied Physics with a grade of C or better in each pre-requisite

Additional Requirements to Apply

  • All students are required to take the USA – Ultrasound Student Assessment exam in the testing center and meet current state TSI requirements
  • Apply to ACC by completing the Steps-to-Getting-Started
  • Apply to the DCVS program by completing an application packet
  • Complete the required number of hours of professional observation here at ACC in the DCVS lab
  • Submit official college transcript showing completion required courses (unofficial from ACC is acceptable)
  • Immunization records showing at least 2 or 3 shots completed in Hepatitis B series
  • Submit 2 official, current, professional letters of reference
