The Learning Lab is a one-stop resource to help you succeed academically.
The Learning Lab offers:
Free in-person and online tutoring services for students
Computer and printer access
Information on academic success strategies
Face-to-Face Tutoring
Face to face tutoring is currently available in the following disciplines. An updated
schedule with subject tutoring hours is always available at the Learning Lab front
desk. You can call the Learning Lab at any time to ask about tutoring in certain
subjects.
Writing
Math
Anatomy & Physiology
Chemistry
Biology
History
Online Tutoring
Online tutoring is available 24/7 through TutorMe. As a student, you will be able
to get tutoring help in a multitude of subjects while being able to both hear and
see your tutor. A record of your session is kept in your account for your review
and study at any time. Current students can access TutorMe through their Blackboard
account.
Computer Access
Computer Assistance - Word processing and Internet access are provided on the computers
in the Learning Lab. Help with MyBlackboard and Turn-it-in.com/Safe Assignment is
offered. Interactive math tutorials are also available. Printing is available with
a 5 page limit.
Student Success Services
- Study Skills, Time Management, and Test Anxiety (By appt. or walk-in)
- Learning Styles — Assess and help students know how they learn best
- Study Skills, Test Anxiety, and Time Management — Take self-assessment
- Customized Study Plan—Provide informational packets to students who take a Learning Style, Test Anxiety, and Time Management self-assessment (Seminars may be provided to whole classes at professors’ requests.)
