Alvin College Foundation Seeking Scholarship Applications
The Alvin College Foundation is now seeking applications for more than 100 scholarships available to area graduating high school seniors who wish to attend the college in the Fall.
More than $75,000 is available through the scholarships offered to high school students looking to join Alvin College in the future. The amounts range from $250 a year up to $5,000 a year.
“There are many scholarship opportunities available for these students,” said Sydney Hildenburg, Foundation scholarship coordinator. “These scholarships can go along way to helping them achieve their education.”
One simple application makes students eligible for all scholarships. These scholarships may be awarded based on a variety of criteria including student need, GPA and intended major.
The deadline to apply for these scholarships is March 1. To apply, students must apply to the college and then visit the Alvin College POD and click on ‘Paying For College.’
Students needing assistance should also apply for Financial Aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
