Benefits of Drama Degree

Career Opportunities

Our graduates are professional stage actors in Houston; movie producers in L.A.; professional scenic charge artists; and IATSE stagehands in N.Y.C. They've continued their studies all over the world, including Canada and Germany. Immediately after graduating, our students have been hired as stagehands, designers, stage managers, and performers. Drama majors frequently also go into writing, design, arts administration, education, library sciences, technology and trade careers, public relations, law, psychology, marketing and sales, communication, engineering, and management.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the job outlook for entertainment occupations is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations, due to growth of the industry and the need to replace workers.
