Student Achievement Goals and Outcomes
Consistent with its mission to improve "lives by offering affordable, accessible,
innovative, high-quality academic, career and technical education to meet the needs
of students, workforce and the community,” Alvin College has identified the following
measures of student success and achievement:
- Percent completing 15 credits or more in the first year
- Percent of Semester credit hours successfully completed
- Fall to Fall retention rate
- Percent working or enrolled within 1 year after award
- 3 year graduation rate
- 6 year graduation rate
- Degrees Awarded
- IPEDS 8 year outcomes rates

Action Plan: The college reviews these measure and since all were met, a discussion of possible changes to the thresholds will occur. Additionally, with the new 2026-2030 Strategic Plan and its new KPIs, some of these measures may change next year.
