Alvin Community College was given high marks for fiscal responsibility from a recent audit that was given to the Board of Regents during their meeting on February 19.

Alvin College demonstrated its commitment to pioneering, hands-on education with a highly successful ceramic workshop led by renowned artist Jeff Forster on February 2. The event drew more than 50 students and community members, reflecting the powerful demand for innovative learning experiences.

The Alvin College Law Enforcement Academy will host an open house event to give local law enforcement officers an opportunity to learn more about the program and what it has to offer for local agencies.

Local high school students had a chance to test their abilities in several different skills during the SkillsUSA Competition at Alvin College on February 7.
