Locations and Maps

Alvin Community College (ACC) is located in Alvin, TX approximately 35 miles of downtown Houston and about 34 miles from Galveston. It has served the combined areas of Alvin, Pearland, and Danbury Independent School Districts since 1948.

We currently offer courses at four convenient locations in Brazoria County.

 

Main Campus

In addition to the facilities housing our Academic, Technical and Continuing Education & Workforce Development programs, the campus also features:The main campus features 16 buildings and is situated on 114 acres of land between Hwy 35 Bypass and Mustang Road in Alvin.

  • A Student Center with a full-service café and game room
  • The College Store and Study Grounds Coffee Bar
  • A Fitness Center that is open to the public featuring a gym, basketball courts, racquetball courts, tennis courts, weight training/cardio room, locker rooms, and saunas
  • A Library featuring study rooms, computers, charging stations, a conference room, TV monitors, and a print & copy station
  • A Cyber Lab featuring 24 computers with internet access and specialized classroom software
  • A Tutoring/Learning Lab complete with 30 computers and printing stations
  • A Child Development Lab School offering child care and education for children aged 18 months to Preschool
  • Baseball and Softball fields
  • A two-mile Jogging Track equipped with solar lighting and motion sensors for added security
  • A 349-seat Theatre complete with a full stage house, fully computerized lights and sound, two full sized dressing rooms, box office, green room, and much more. 
  • An Art Studio and Fine Arts Gallery
  • An Observatory with a view to the stars and planets
  • An 1800 sq. ft. Greenhouse

Parking

Visitor parking is available near Buildings A & B on the Alvin campus. There is no charge for visitor parking. Student parking is available campus-wide in all spaces with a yellow stripe. Faculty and staff parking are designated with white stripes. Parking permits are required to park in student, faculty, and staff parking areas. Permits are available from Campus Police, located in Building H.

Airports

Alvin Community College is 20 miles from Hobby Airport and 55 miles from George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Alvin Community College provides postsecondary educational services to incarcerated students
in the following TDCJ units:

Courses include general academic and technical programs. We offer the following degree plans in the TDCJ units:
