College Leadership

The leadership of ​Alvin Community College (ACC) consists of the College President, Board of Regents, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT).


Our President

Dr. Robert J. Exley was named the 7th president of Alvin Community College in 2021. Prior to coming to ACC, Dr. Exley served as President of Snead State Community College in Boaz, Ala. From 2008 to 2020.

Board of Regents

Alvin Community College has nine members on the Board of Regents. Each member is elected to a six year term, and all members serve at-large.

Executive Leadership Team (ELT)

The ELT meets regularly to deliberate large-scale topics central to the overall continued success of the college such as the strategic plan, budget planning and implementation, college policy, legislative issues, and program and regional accreditation​​​.

Instructional Leadership Team (ILT)

The purpose of the Instructional Leadership Team is to facilitate communication and coordination among instructional divisions of the college. The ILT also makes recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) regarding curricular and academic matters.
