ACC Foundation to Host 22nd Gala on November 12

The Alvin Community College Foundation hopes to provide students with the keys they need to succeed during the 22nd Annual Gala Unlocking Futures on Friday, November 12.

The event will be held at South Shore Harbor Resort in League City. Attire will be “After Five.”

“We can’t wait to see everyone out to support the Foundation at this year’s gala,” said Wendy Del Bello, ACC Foundation executive director. “It has been two years since we’ve hosted an in-person event and there could not be a better cause than this.”

Festivities begin with a social reception at 6 p.m. There will also be live and silent auctions. After the dinner, the evening will feature music and dancing from local band Password.

Password is a variety band that delivers high-energy performances with active audience engagement. Their music includes R&B, Top 40, Classic Rock, Motown, Disco and more.

In addition to scholarships, the Foundation also uses the funds to support the Innovative Initiative grants and other programs on campus. This year, the Foundation awarded over $100,000 in student scholarships, grants and awards to ACC staff members.

Seats for the Gala sell fast so get them early. Different levels of sponsorship are available and range from $10,000 to $1,000. Individual tickets are $100.

Donations are still being sought for the live and silent auctions.
