ACC Foundation to Host 22nd Gala on November 11
The Alvin Community College Foundation will dust off its cowboy and glitzy attire for the 23rd Annual Gala Boots and Bling on Friday, November 11.
The event will be held at South Shore Harbor Resort in League City.
“The Foundation Gala is a great event with so many supporters and is vital to the college’s mission,” said Wendy Del Bello, ACC Foundation executive director.
Each year we build on the success of the galas and we look forward to outdoing ourselves again.”
Festivities begin with a social reception at 6 p.m. There will also be live and silent auctions. After the dinner, the evening will feature music and dancing from local band The Country Grooves.
The Country Grooves performs an energetic mix of current and classic country, Motown, oldies, disco, rock and roll, plus all the most up to date dance music.
In addition to scholarships, the Foundation also uses the funds to support the Innovative Initiative grants and other programs on campus. This year, the Foundation awarded over $100,000 in student scholarships, grants and awards to ACC staff members.
Seats for the Gala sell fast so get them early. Different levels of sponsorship are
available and range from $10,000 to $1,000. Individual tickets are $100.
Donations are still being sought for the live and silent auctions.
A special rate of $129 a night is available for those who choose to stay at the South
