ACC Launches MobileGo Project

Alvin Community College can now recruit students on the go after the recent unveiling of the MobileGo Lab.

ACC regents and staff members held a ribbon cutting on April 12 for the Mobile Go Project which will assist students in making the right choice for their education.

The trailer was made possible through a $150,540 from the Texas Pioneer Foundation for a mobile computer lab to act as a recruiting station for prospective ACC students.

The Texas Pioneer Foundation is a private, non-profit organization that supports innovative educational programs to improve education quality.

College staff members will operate the station and will help students learn more about the ACC and what it has to offer. The lab will be constructed by the end of December and could be in service sometime in the Spring semester.

With the computers students can learn more about the admissions process, the type of programs available, workforce training, the admissions process and more. The lab can be used for a variety of locations and events including local public schools, health fairs, community events and concerts.
