ACC Regents Approve Strategic Plan Goals
The Alvin Community College Board of Regents approved four goals for the upcoming, three-year strategic plan for the college.
The goals for the 2022-25 plan will include strengthening student success, building a culture of inclusion and diversity, enhancing community engagement and addressing the ongoing growth in the region.
The details of the strategic plan will be finalized by the ACC staff before it is implemented.
Regents also approved adjustments to the mission and vision statements along with the core values for the college, which is a component of the strategic plan as well as a requirement for the college’s accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Regents also:
-approved renewal of the 5-year grant for Upward Bound for $1.56 million
-approved adjustments to Board Policy
-approved position reclassifications
-approved additional staff contracts
Regents will have their next meeting on July 28 at 6 p.m. in the Nolan Ryan Center.
