ACC-Regents-Review-Budget
The Alvin Community College Board of Regents evaluated the proposed budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year during their meeting on July 24.
The proposed $41.86 million budget for 2023-24 is approximately 4.45 percent more than the previous budget of $40.07 million budget for 2022-23. ACC is due to receive a 25-percent increase in its state allocation due to the recent passage of House Bill 8, which changes the state allocation model based on student performance.
The proposed budget is still in development and could face adjustments prior to finalization at the August meeting.
In other action, the board approved a one-year contract extension for President Dr. Robert J. Exley through June 2025. Dr. Exley is the college’s seventh president and began his tenure in 2021.

-approved board policy updates
-approved purchases for Welding and Culinary programs for TDCJ

The board will have its next meeting on August 17 at 6 p.m. in the Nolan Ryan Center.
