ACC Employees Honored for Service

Alvin Community College recognized its employees for their service to the college during the annual service awards ceremony on August 17.

 

Employees were honored for working 40, 25, 20, 15, 10 and five years.

 

40 years

ACC Government instructor Tim Reynolds and Math instructor Dr. James Boler were recognized for working at the college for 40 years.

 

25 years

ACC Fine Arts Chair Dennis LaValley was recognized for working at the college for 25 years.

 

20 years

ACC employees who have worked at the college for 20 years are: Nursing director Dr. Debi Fontenot, Web administrator Charzetta Fleming, Math instructor Charles Kilgore, and Dual Enrollment Pathways advisor Monica Silvas, Respiratory Care director Marby McKinney and Child Lab School teacher Lori Brown.

 

15 years

ACC employees who have worked at the college for 15 years are: Housekeeper Irma Pena, History instructor Chris Chance, Industrial Design instructor James Langley and Computer Support specialist Sam Villareal.

 

10 years

ACC employees who have worked at the college for 10 years are: Grants coordinator Gayland Capps, Math instructor Dr. Sosina Peterson and Transportation mechanic Matthew Porter.

5 years

ACC employees who have worked at the college for five years are: General Education and Academic Support administrative assistant Lea Sharp, Digital Marketing specialist Sammi Sanders, Process Technology instructor Don Parus, Grounds equipment operator Ray Palacios, History instructor Alexander Marriott, Biology instructor Michelle Bradford, graphic designer Brooke Dienst, Arts and Sciences administrative assistant Camely Myers, dean of General Education and Academic Support Dr. Nadia Nazarenko, Speech instructor Dr. Maria Starling, Math instructor Dr. Laura Tapp, Professional, Technical and Human Performance administrative assistant Karmen Wells, Accounting instructor Sheila Woods, Campus police Sgt. Joshua Durham and Environmental Systems technician Pete Rocha.
