Basic Water and Wastewater
Basic Water and Wastewater Operations
Basic Wastewater Operations
This course provides an overview of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requirements for wastewater operators and the operation of wastewater treatment plants in the State of Texas. Students will be taught the method of activated sludge treatment and the variations of activated sludge treatment. The course will teach the importance of record retention, state the rules and regulations of safety. Upon completion the student should be able to identify the characteristics of wastewater, explain the collection system, differentiate the wastewater treatment process, identify operations of treatment plants, and explain the TCEQ rules and regulations. The course will prepare students for the “D” level wastewater exam given by the TCEQ.
