The Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management AAS degree is designed for the student to develop the knowledge and skills that will prepare the graduate for employment in areas within the total supply chain. Supply chain refers to a large network of critical business functions within an organization that work collaboratively to deliver products from a supplier to a customer. Logistics Management focuses on the management of daily operations concerning the movement of goods, services, and related information from the point of origin to the final point of consumption by the customer.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment for logistics is projected to grow five percent (5%) from 2019 to 2029, about as fast as the average for all occupations, in the State of Texas.

According to Texas Wages and Employment Projections for the Gulf Coast, including Brazoria County, the projected employment is 10,875, and a percent change of 17%. This includes hourly wages of $55.57 and annual wages of $ 115,580 for a managerial position as of May 2019.

What Will I Study?

Courses in the Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management program will teach you how to:

  • Analyze and determine the logistics, materials and supply chain needs of an organization.
  • Evaluate the logistics management policies of an organization in order to protect its essential information and assets.
  • Design supply chain management strategies for an organization.
  • Identify and utilize logistics, materials & supply chain software/tools.
  • Measure the performance of supply chain systems and troubleshoot within an enterprise-level logistics management system.
  • Create and communicate organizational logistics, materials & supply chain management strategies and policies.

*How Much Will the Program Cost?

Yearly costs for the A.A.S. Degree program are approximately $4,300 for in-district students and $7,100 for those out-of-district. This includes tuition and fees.

Costs for the Level II Certificate program are approximately $2,800 for in-district students and $4,350 for those out-of-district per year including tuition and fees.

Approximate yearly costs for the Level I Certificate program are $1,400 for in-district students and $2,200 for those out-of-district. This includes tuition and fees.

Additional fees for books and supplies may vary according the the degree/certificate plan.
