Looking Ahead: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
With board approval secured, Alvin Community College is developing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to help meet local healthcare needs. The degree is currently progressing through the accreditation process with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and other regulatory bodies.
The BSN will prepare registered nurses for leadership roles and advanced clinical practice — strengthening the local healthcare workforce and providing students with a seamless, affordable pathway to career advancement. ACC aims to welcome the first cohort of BSN students in the Fall 2026.
