For many years the Alvin Community College Board of Regents has sought a facility on the west side of the college district to better serve the entirety of ACC taxpayers. The board unanimously approved a five-year lease agreement for 14,500 square feet in a facility named The Mansion located off Magnolia Parkway in Manvel. The new location will house ACC's Corporate College initiative to offer training and certificate programs tailored specifically for local employers.

Alvin Community College regents unanimously approved the 2023-24 fiscal year tax rate during their meeting on September 28.

Two Alvin Community Colleges staff members were selected to participate in a data project fellowship through Harvard University Strategic Data Project.

Alvin Community College and local employers will host a Job Fair on campus on October 12.
