Alvin Community College recognized its employees for their service to the college during the annual service awards ceremony on August 17. Employees were honored for working 40, 25, 20, 15, 10 and five years.

Alvin Community College recently received approval to begin offering new degrees and certificates through its Welding and Automotive Technology programs.

ACC will feature an exhibit of 100 paintings made on the side of a penny by artist and ACC alum Sam Jowers.

When Nevaeh Mansur recently stepped up to the microphone to sing "How Could I Ever Know" at a public concert at Alvin Community College, it was a couple of "firsts". It was the first time she sang for the ACC Community Chorus and it was the first time she, and other members of the choir, had performed in front of an audience in 17 months.
