For students in Alvin College's Polysomnography Technology program, learning about sleep medicine goes far beyond the classroom.

An island murder mystery, a fantasy classic, the story of an unlikely legal legend plus a world premier are featured in the 2026-27 lineup for the Alvin College Drama Department.

After surviving the heat of the Alvin College Culinary Arts program, alum Miguel Soliz has decided to turn up the flames by joining a legendary reality cooking show. Soliz recently became a contestant on the 25th season of Hell's Kitchen hosted by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

The Alvin College Board of Regents voted to keep the same tax rate for the 2026-27 fiscal year during their meeting on September 23.
