Biotechnology Certification

12 Weeks to an Incredible Career in Biotechnology

The Biotechnology certificate program provides students with critical science concepts necessary to excel in the rapidly expanding biotechnology field. With an emphasis on biomanufacturing and medical device technology, the program prepares students for entry-level positions while providing the skills necessary for upward movement in the industry.

Students will learn quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), cGDP/cGMP standards, upstream and downstream processes, sterile filtration methods, clean room gowning and de-gowning, common machinery used in biomanufacturing, and current cell culture techniques.

Our hybrid courses provide hands-on learning in a laboratory setting, allowing students to practice and demonstrate their mastery of the techniques while also learning theoretical concepts in a digital format. The strong presence of the biotechnology industry in the Houston metro area, coupled with a projected 21% job growth, provides an unparalleled employment opportunity for our program’s graduates.
