Skylar Garcia-Frost "I often get asked why I started writing children’s books. And trust me—it’s not
for the money. Most writers aren’t rich in dollars, but in something much deeper.
I could give you two simple reasons. First, selfishly, I’ve always dreamed of seeing
a book I wrote sitting on a bookstore or library shelf. That moment alone feels like
magic. But the real reason? It started on the lap of my mother. Before I even understood
language, she read to me, and I came to associate books with love, warmth, and belonging.
That love grew into a passion for literature—an endless hunger for knowledge, adventure,
and worlds tucked between pages. Now, I hope my own lap is a place of that same love
and wonder for my children. And I hope my books create a spark for other families
to build their own cherished memories. I pour my heart into these stories, and I can
only hope this is just the beginning. That one day, many of my books will sit on someone’s
shelf, waiting to be loved."
