Patient Care Technician Certification
Three Certificates, One Program
The Alvin Community College Patient Care Technician program trains students in phlebotomy, electrocardiography, and patient care technician skills. In a variety of healthcare settings, patient care technicians assist physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals with direct patient care. Working in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities, Patient Care Technicians are employed under the direction of qualified healthcare professionals. The PCT program is offered in a hybrid schedule.
Upon successful completion of each course, students are qualified to test for a certification exam through the National Health Career Association.
